About

Stephie Kate is a Colorado-based artist who creates sculptures and three dimensional canvases exploring the idea of relationships and how they influence each other. She uses a multidisciplinary approach to creating work utilizing blown glass, steel, stretched tissue paper focusing on their transcendence into a visceral reference of the body. Following the completion of her MFA at Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2013, she became fascinated by the power of proximity in imposing relationships between things.

In 2017, Stephie Kate's work was featured in Art Reveal Magazine as well as Expose Art Magazine.  She has work at a group exhibition "A Future in the Arts" at Paint Creek Arts Center. She also showed and donated work to the Pilchuck Glass School Auction Gala, a juried exhibition. Stephie Kate has also showed internationally with Galerie Marzee, Nijmegen, The Netherlands and recently participated as an assistant to resident artist Yuni Kim Lang at the Kohler Arts/Industry Residency.
