Structure:Skin
With this work I am interested in the material juxtaposition of tissue paper and steel. In juxtaposing these materials, the relationship between structure and skin emerge. The focus is repetition in an action, process, or state of decay for the purpose of understanding the object. The structure and elegance of the objects are bound to the consequences of corrosion. The deterioration occurring within the cocoon-like tissue paper casings leads to the breakdown of the relationship between structure and skin. The structure disintegrates and the skin itself takes its place as both support and covering.
